Santa's Christmas Fudge...

I've been busy getting things together for my holiday ornament scrapbook class tomorrow as well as the holiday craft fair that I will be in this Saturday.... I figured I should take a quick break from my creating and post a picture of this cute #.... I'm making these Santa's to sell at the craft show.....Aren't these guys too cute???

These Santa's are wrapped Hershey Candy bars (the big ones) To finish them off, I added a Christmas fudge poem to the back that I had seen on Splitcoast stampers.... These are such a great gift for any chocolate lover :)

Here is what the poem says...
Christmas Fudge...I planned to make a batch this year But schedules would not budge. So here's this year's edition of homemade Christmas fudge. There was no secret recipe No mess or dough to fix Just Christmas wishes wrapped in love,The perfect chocolate fix!

Here is how I made mine..
I used Stampin' UP! Real Red card stock cut down to 8 1/2 x 7 and scored at 2 1/4, 2 1/2, 6 & 6 2/4.... Next, I tore a 3x7 piece of whisper white card stock and added black buttons using a circle punch. To finish it off, I used my scallop square punch and added a little dazzling diamonds for some pop then layered it with a small black square punched out.....

And just like that, I have Santa's Christmas Fudge ready to give for a sweet holiday gift!

Voila an easy card in a flash!

This card and matching envelope were created for my kids Trivet class today. I wanted them to have a card that would not only coordinate perfectly with the gift they were making but that would be easy and quick to create. I love the way the card turned out despite the lack of extra accessories......... Let's face it, sometimes we all just need a quick card and this adorable chef from the Stampin' UP! Voila stamp set is just too cute! The kids just loved stamping our chef here on the tiles and then again on the card and envelope..... You can view a sample of the Trivets we made here. I just love how everything goes together.... Isn't this just the perfect hostess gift for Thanksgiving dinner?????????????

To the right here is a sample of the card Stephanie A. (one of the girls who attended my Trivet Class today) made.... I know I say it all the time but.......... my favorite part of holding classes is watching the class attendees make every project their own and create their very own masterpieces!!!

See how easy it can be................. Voila.... a Fantastic Card!

Remember...if your in the Chicago area and are interested in classes for scrapbooking, paper crafting, card making or other altered art items...check out my class calender for upcoming events or contact me to create your own custom class for you and your friends!!

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

Your Stampin' UP! Holiday Wish List!

The Holidays are right around the corner....... Let everyone know what you really want this Christmas is some fantastic Stampin' UP! goodies..... All you have to do is take a moment to complete the online wish list (you can find it on the right side of this blog :) and email it out to everyone.... Tell them they can shop online 24/7 on my website or if they place an order of $35.00 or more directly with me I will wrap it for them and have it delivered just in the "nick of time" :)

Now before you get busy preparing that wish list, take a moment to enjoy this great poem I came across that was written by Gretchen Barro.....

Twas a month before Christmas and all through the place not a stamper was sleeping, not even a trace.

The projects were ready, planned out, just so ... The cards, the scrapbooks, some tags ... and a bow.

The house needed cleaning, the laundry not done, “Oh well” said the stamper, “making cards is more fun”!

Sometime after midnight, around about two, she laid down her markers, off to bed she then flew.

Within minutes of her form lying down on the bed, sweet visions of her wish list danced in her head.

The stamp sets, the papers, the glitter, the punches, the card stock, the ribbons - “oh please, bring me bunches”!

The night, it was short ... but the dreams were so grand, as she saw with her mind every project she planned.

Cards for birthdays and thank-you’s and all kinds of greetings, scrapbook pages with photos from parties and meetings.

As the first light of morning shone in through the curtain, her wish list had vanished from the table ... she was certain.

But she did not realize that it had been taken, by the one that she loved, who would soon be mistaken for that round little fellow, so lively and quick, you know, the one dressed in red, that some call St. Nick.

Well, he e-mailed her Stampin’ Up! Demo that day, and he ordered each item, to be delivered without delay.

Much to her surprise, on December twenty-fifth, as she opened her package she found a most wondrous gift.

For inside the box were the products from her list, everything was there, not one had been missed!

She squealed with delight, leaped into the air, wrapped her arms around her guy with the hug of a bear.

“Oh, thank you” she said as she smiled with glee, “It’s just what I wanted and it’s all for me!”

There’s a moral to be learned if you want your stamper happy, simply call up her demo, place an order in a snappy!

If a husband or friend, a sister or mother, a pal or buddy or significant other, you can give such a gift to the one that you treasure, a gift of supplies to be used in her leisure!

Twill be delivered before Christmas, on that you can bet. And it’s sure to be the best gift she will get!

Ladies Night Out Canvas Class was a Blast!

We had a great time last night and everyone did such a GREAT job creating their own creative piece of art

For many this was their first attempt at creating something like this but they surprised even themselves with their creativity... After choosing their papers from my collection of Stampin' UP! papers (retired & new) to coordinate with their photos the ladies decided on a layout and picked out some embellishments. Of course it wouldn't have been complete without a little Stampin' so they chose what they wanted to add from my large assortment of Stampin' UP! stamps and stamped away.. Then after putting it all together, they added a little paint & glitter to add that special final touch!

Be sure to check out my calender of events to see what my upcoming class schedule looks like and come explore your creativity at one of my fun classes!!!! Or if you would love the chance to create your own canvas but, you missed this event contact me to find out more info on scheduling a private class for you & your friends!!!!

Have a Great day and thanks for looking!!!!

A Basket Full of Yummy Pumpkin Poop..

Pumpkin Poop is a quick & easy treat that kids of all ages will get a kick out of! They are always great for a good laugh!!!

Here is a closer look........
I whipped these up in no time at all.... I cut my card stock to 5x3 and folded it in 1/2 to fit over a small cello bag filled with a handfull of some yummy candy corn.

I simply stamped the top portion of the background with these polka dots from my Stampin' UP! Polka dots & Paisleys stamp set. Next I stamped this pumpkin from the Stampin' UP! Batty for you stamp set. I punched out my pumpkin using my circle punch and matted it onto a scallop circle... ((Have I mentioned lately how much I love my Stampin' UP! punches???? We'll let me tell ya.... I LOVE THEM!!!))

The last step was to add the adorable poem for the pumpkin poop that I found awile ago and have been using it ever since....I wish I knew who came up with it so I could thank them for their fantastic idea!

Go ahead and give this quick yummy treat a try yourself...

Have great day and thanks for stopping by!

Wow Wednesday Technique Sneak Peak

Don't you just love how the spotlight technique adds the perfect touch to this card as a beautiful moonlight sky?
This is one of the cards we will be making for my upcoming WOW Technique Class. The card uses the moonlighting technique which is one of the 2 techniques we will focus on.

I do have to tell you, as much as I wish I had come up with this card on my own, I got the idea from last months "wicked" demo only challenge over at splitcoast stampers. Jan Tink created the original card and I made some slight changes. I just loved the idea too much not to just go with it!

If you are interested in attending this month's Wow Wednesday Technique Class, I still have room so contact me asap and join us for a fun evening while you learn 2 techniques... For additional class details, click here.

P.S. Don't worry if you can't make it, ask me about my "to go" option...... And make sure to reserve your spot for next months WOW Technique Class....

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Today Hannah celebrated her 9th birthday
with one of my class on the go parties!

Here is the sample I did for the girls to follow....
I have to say, one of my favorite things about doing classes is how each person (kid or adult) makes the art their own (even those who don't quite realize they are creative......)

It is not to early to start thinking about your Christmas Cards.....

When I saw this challenge color combo challange (CC185) over at Split Coast Stampers, I knew this Winter Post stamp set was the perfect choice. The idea is to create a card using the colors Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze & Very Vanilla. Can I just tell you, I absolutely love this NEW Stampin' UP! Winter Post set from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog..... It is definitely one of my new favorites!!!
I used my water color wonder crayons to color in the image and then to top it off I used the cracked glass technique to accent the image. The card is pretty straight forward and I like the softness of it........ What do you think?

Stamps: Stampin' Up! Winter Post & Season of Joy
Paper: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla Card stock;
Ski Slope Designer Series Paper

Bella Rose Designer Paper Gift Bag

I have been seeing these adorable bags all over the Internet lately.... There is even a great tutorial that you can view here: Cambria's Blog Needless to say, I just had to try my hand at making one. I used the new Stampin' UP! Bella Rose Designer Paper and let me tell you I am having a blast with this assortment..... I also dipped into my pretties kit. I just love how easy it was to water color the plain white flower so that I would have this lovely shade of pink that coordinates perfectly with my project. You should definitely take a moment and try making one of these great bags for yourself..... It was so quick and easy, I'm sure you'll love it too........... Now all I have to do is fill it with some candy and give it away..... hmmm??
